About the Position:

Quintica is looking for a network design engineer/architect who is ideally CCIE certified. The successful candidate will be based at our Kenya office but will need to be willing to travel.

We have a short term engagement for a experienced engineer to assist in the validation and finalisation of the design for a MPLS based network to cater for both Data Centre, Campus and Wide Area switching requirements at a customer. The successful candidate will be expected to bring his experience to bear as regards utilising of the latest Cisco product sets with a large emphasis on security and future growth in the design. The design incorporates technologies such as MPLS routing, Campus Switching, Firewalls/Security, QoS (including VoIP/IPT integration), 10Gb Ethernet, multicast, and content-delivery networking (inc ACE Modules) across multi-vendor platforms including Cisco, Juniper and Avaya. Operational Management is also key.

Your responsibilities will include participating in the design review and any rework required, the creation of the Bill-of-Quantity for the proposed solution, the writing up of an RFP/RFQ to be issued. It will also be a requirement that an Implementation plan be a drawn up for inclusion in the RFP/RFQ.

You should be CCIE qualified (or have the equivalent expertise) and must have sound documentation skills.
