BI MIS ANALYST WITH DATA WAREHOUSE SKILLS
 


 

 

 

About the Position:

The job will entail the development of a total MIS/BI requirements specification and Data Warehouse architecture for a large Leisure and Entertainment group and is part of a project team tasked with the implementation of an IT Strategy for the group.

  

Experience and Skills:

·            Structured and disciplined approach to requirements gathering, specification and sign-off

·            Experience in the Leisure and Entertainment industry is a plus

·            Business analysis experience in data warehousing ⁄ reporting in large multi user environments, preferably with Oracle

·            Experience with SQL and other standard database query tools

·            Data analysis and modelling skills

·            People management and negotiation skills

·            Self initiative and attention to detail.

·            Ability to communicate effectively with business and technical users.

·            Training and support in the use of end user reporting tools

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

·            Liaise with Senior Management to determine Info requirements (Both MIS and BI)

·            Document  requirements and obtain sign-off

·            Develop Data Models to be used for interfacing to source systems

·            Investigate data quality and end-user data discrepancy issues and communicate findings.

·            Maintain internal request ⁄ change management processes

·            Support ad-hoc requests, develop reports and resolve end user reporting issues

·            Develop Data Warehouse structure

·            Maintain Data Warehouse Knowledge Base

·            Develop and deliver training and mentoring for data warehouse customers

·            Assist with system testing during development life cycles
