About the Position: The purpose of the job is to establish and maintain an Architecture Framework to enable the design, development, testing, transition , operation, maintenance & support and de-commissioning of IT infrastructure and it's related components to realise the best Return On Investment (ROI) while providing an effective and efficient IT service to the relevant stakeholders to support the business objectives of the organization. The job will also entail the following: · Analysing enterprise business context (trends and business strategy) to derive technical architecture. · Analysing technology industry and market trends, and determine their potential impact on the enterprise. · Assisting with designing the governance activities associated with ensuring compliance. · Consulting on application or infrastructure development projects to fit systems or infrastructure to the technical architecture, and identify when it is necessary to modify the technical architecture to accommodate project needs.
Qualification and Experience: The ideal candidate needs to have the following skills and experience: · Degree or diploma in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience. · 7 to 10 years of experience in at least 2 IT disciplines in a client/server or service-oriented architecture (SOA) environment, including technical architecture, network design, application development, middleware, servers and storage, database management, and operations. · Exposure to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies and processing environments. · Exceptional interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation. · Strong leadership skills. · Excellent analytical, planning, organisational and technical skills. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Knowledge of all components of a IT technical architecture and an understanding of network architecture and how architecture realises into business benefits via the IT Services provided by TNet. · Knowledge of business process re-engineering principles and processes. · Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations. · Ability to estimate the financial impact of technical architecture alternatives. · Ability to apply multiple technical solutions to business problems. · Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies. |
